U.S. Automakers Need Innovative Turn Around

automakers-us-big_threeIn honor of our independence celebration, I wanted to give and get thoughts on where the U.S. Automakers are headed…  Then there were two.  Chrysler sold out to Fiat.  Budweiser sold to a foreign company.  We have two iconic American automotive brands.  No longer is it Ford vs Chevy.  It is US against the world. 

The U.S. Automakers are in extreme turmoil.    Americans have really turned their back on them. Chrysler & GM get bailouts and end up declaring bankruptcy and everyone was comparing them to the Wall Street bailout.  Chrysler has to sell.  The Wall Street Bailout was about greed, really complex risky bets. Things like derivatives and bad decisions set in the late 90’s by the Clinton administration about deregulating home ownership and allowing banks to offer loans of more than appraised value. So these are two totally different problems.
